The first week of October marked customer service week in Kenya.

Social media was buzzing with big local brands participating in showing and sharing customer appreciation messages. Customer service is key for brands and the talents who are in charge of this strategic activity are getting are not feeling the crisis.

According to Data Fintech’s employment data customer service and customer support has experienced robust job growth over the last six months. Salary for experienced employee is also doing well, with intermediate median salary edging upwards by 5.41% in September 2017 to Ksh 97,500 from Ksh 92,500 in August 2017.

Despite re-election jitters, Intermediate salaries are expected to reach Ksh 105,780 in October 2017 and Ksh 104,491 in January 2018. These are the two months where employers are fighting on the marketplace for the right talents to join their customer experience teams.
